After we cut off Moreto’s escape route we overcame a confusion spell and quickly killed him with Amadi’s critical hit and a suffocation spell. The mohrg paralyzed Ilyon who was left behind but Kraldar came around and confronted the mohrg before any further damage could be done. We examined Moreto’s disc, which glew when handed to Scruffin and summoned some kind of air elemental that attacked us until we destroyed it. Identified as a “Seal of Law” it’s function is still somewhat of a mystery at this point.
We moved on to the staircase the shadow spider was guarding, finding ourselves in a fancy tomb. A door beyond this tomb led us to our prize – Delaron. The problem was that he was encased in some kind of lightning ball that shot bolts at whoever entered. Aided by protection magic and dispels, Kraldar slid down the sloped floor to retrieve Delaron’s lifeless body and had Amadi and Ilyon pull him back up. Delaron was awakened after some healing, surprised to find us. It appears that he had gone too far into the dungeon without magical protection from its traps and became ensnared by one until we arrived. We’ll have to further debrief him to find out what he has learned about this strange place.
